This is a Share a Photo/Tell the Story Friday post. It's the Week 4, of the old school blogging, prompt for the Finish the Sentence Friday writing community.
I lost nearly three hours of night, composing myself, writing a ginormous Facebook post, getting up the nerve to recheck all the doors, and trying to go back to sleep...
At this point, I was itching between my toes. Feelin' like Pookie from New Jack City, "Ish just be callin me man, callin me man. I just gotta go to it."
Let me preface this story with explaining that when I met Papa Bear I had been a vegetarian for a good chunk of my life, but had recently started eating chicken and shrimp. Papa Bear on the other hand was Straight Outta Louisiana and ate the complete opposite. I mean like no vegetables steak and potatoes opposite. Just like with any other ups and downs in a relationship, we occasionally go through food wars. I am currently on strike.
Christopher's two favorite things were airplanes and dinosaurs. So as a family we went out in search of a kite, which left me sitting in the car with the napping Christopher. I can tell you that it would have taken me a fraction of the time to go in a store to pick out a kite. Never send the man in to get the kite unless you want some alone time.
I have an affliction with benefits. When I am anxious, I clean. When I am procrastinating, I clean. I'm not a neat freak but between anxiety and procrastination, stuff is clean around here. If I am unable to clean, you'll find something else ridiculously organized. Sometimes in the process, I mess up stuff...
The calendar is clear for our 7-day stint in decaf rehab.
The taxes are done, Spring Break is over, our spring allergies have subsided and we're within our 10 good days of the month.
No more excuses.
The time is now.

Not only that, when you're getting toilets replaced, WHO takes them both out at the same time? Tell me, anybody? And YEAH, of course there's a story.
The topic was due in a week. The research plan by Thanksgiving and the project itself was due the Monday after the kids returned from Christmas break. This was throwing a monkey wrench in my seasonal timeline.
I needed to get to work!
